Mastering Mounts in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: A Guide to Acquiring Your Steed

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's expansive world can feel overwhelming initially, making traversing the landscape inefficient. This guide details how to obtain a horse.

Reclaiming Your Original Horse

You can regain your starting horse, Pebbles. Travel to Semine in the south and speak with the horse trader.

However, retrieving Pebbles isn't straightforward. You'll need to either pay Groschen, persuade the trader, or intimidate him. In my experience, progressing through the main questline and working with Radovan allowed me to convince the trader to relinquish Pebbles without payment, although this slightly lowered my reputation in Semine. If persuasion fails, you'll need to pay.

Acquiring a Horse Through Other Means

Alternatively, you can steal a horse. While wild horses are rare, you'll find them on farms or in stables. This carries the risk of being caught.

I suggest visiting the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond in the west. The fishermen there possess two horses, easily stolen and ridden away.

Subsequently, visit the Nomads' Camp east of Vidlak Pond. A horse trainer there can teach you to saddle and tame your stolen horse for a fee. Alternatively, you can ride the horse unsaddled.

This concludes our guide on obtaining a horse in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. For more game tips, visit The Escapist.
