King of Fighters ALLSTAR Set to Close Servers

Netmarble's popular action RPG, King of Fighters ALLSTAR, is set to conclude its run this October. The official announcement, posted on Netmarble's forums, confirmed the game's shutdown date as October 30th, 2024. In-app purchases have already been disabled, ceasing on June 26th, 2024.

Reasons for Closure Remain Unclear

King of Fighters ALLSTAR enjoyed a successful six-year run, featuring numerous high-profile crossovers within the fighting game genre. Based on SNK's iconic King of Fighters series, the game garnered positive player feedback, praised for its smooth animations and engaging PvP battles. While the developers hinted at a potential lack of new characters to adapt as a contributing factor, the actual reasons behind the closure remain largely undisclosed.

The game did experience some challenges, including optimization issues and occasional crashes that frustrated players. Despite these setbacks, King of Fighters ALLSTAR achieved millions of downloads across Google Play and the App Store.

Players still interested in experiencing the game have approximately four months remaining to do so before the servers go offline. Don't miss the opportunity to dive into its legendary battles before October! For those looking for alternative gaming options, consider checking out other recent Android game releases.
