How and Where To Find All Iron Hand Guild Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

By AllisonMar 27,2025

Commerce has always been a driving force behind progress, and this remains true in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. However, not everyone adheres to legitimate practices. If you're looking to uncover all the Iron Hand Guild members in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, this comprehensive guide will set you on the right path.

The Iron Hand in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Explained

Image Source: Ubisoft via The Escapist The Iron Hand questline becomes accessible once Naoe has mastered the tea ceremony under the guidance of Imai Sokun, a respected businessman in Settsu. Later, you'll reconnect with Imai Sokun, who reveals his concerns about an imposter using the House Imai name for illegal business ventures.

Your mission is to dismantle this secretive merchant syndicate aiming to usurp the real House Imai. There are five merchants to track down, each overseeing different business operations. You have the choice to handle them lethally or non-lethally, depending on your gameplay style.

How and Where to Find All Iron Hand Guild Members in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

As one of the initial objectives in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, you'll need to explore the world, discover key locations, and use provided clues to pinpoint your targets. This guide will streamline the process for you.

Merchant Tamao

Assassin’s Creed® Shadows_20250311162156 Tamao, a dealer in contraband, is quite overt about his activities. Skip the intel-gathering and head straight to the Yamashiro region. Navigate to Kyoto, the bustling city center, and locate Honpoji Temple on the east side. From there, head west to find Tamao hiding in his brewery. His staff will reveal that he refuses to come out. Draw him out by smashing the barrels in the courtyard, and prepare for a confrontation. After dealing with Tamao, proceed to your next target.

Merchant Kanta

Merchant Kanta, located in the Mouth of Seta in the Omi region, is one such case. You have the option to attack him, but a better approach is to use the Observe mechanic to uncover evidence that he's being coerced. This allows you to spare his life, and he'll go on to become a captain in Imai Sokun’s merchant fleet.

Merchant Ginroku

Assassin’s Creed® Shadows_20250316222104 Ginroku's business involves selling rare delicacies to affluent families around Miyazu Bay. Travel to the Tamba region, heading west to Miyazu Bay, just southwest of Miyazu Castle across the bridge. You can choose to eliminate him for his role in the Iron Hand or find an important letter in nearby huts that could spare his life. If spared, he'll work with the real House Imai and gain access to more prosperous clients in Sakai Port.

Merchant Kin-no-suke

Investigate him in the city of Obama in Wakasa, just east of the Trading Port. Be prepared to handle his bodyguards, perhaps with a smoke bomb and swift assassinations, to ensure his demise.

Iron Hand

Head to Tamba and locate Fukuchiyama Castle near the region's center. Approach from the south side of the castle walls to find him. Expect a fierce resistance and numerous guards. It's advisable to take them out stealthily before engaging the Iron Hand. Once he's defeated, return to Imai Sokun to claim your rewards.

With this guide, you're fully equipped to find all the Iron Hand Guild members in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*. For more assistance, be sure to check out resources at The Escapist.

*Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available now on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.*
