Introducing Shroodle to Pokémon GO: A Guide for Trainers

By CarterFeb 12,2025

The new year in Pokémon GO brings a wave of exciting Pokémon, and Shroodle is the latest addition! However, unlike many previous releases, catching this Toxic Mouse Pokémon isn't as simple as a wild encounter.

Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut:

Shroodle arrives in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originally from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, this newcomer will remain available after the event concludes.

Shiny Shroodle:

Unfortunately, a Shiny Shroodle won't be available at launch. Expect its Shiny variant to appear in a future event, possibly a Poison-type or Team GO Rocket themed one.

How to Obtain Shroodle:

Breaking from the typical wild spawn pattern, Shroodle is exclusively hatched from 12KM Eggs. These eggs, obtainable from defeating Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff, and Giovanni), will have a chance to hatch Shroodle starting January 15th, 12 AM local time. The likelihood of hatching Shroodle may increase during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event.

Securing 12KM Eggs:

To obtain the necessary 12KM Eggs, players must battle and defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders. The Fashion Week: Taken Over event presents an ideal opportunity to stock up on these eggs, as Rocket Radars will be more readily available. Remember, you can also battle GO Rocket Grunts to eventually face the Leaders at any time.

Acquiring Grafaiai:

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuts January 15th. It cannot be hatched or found in the wild; evolution is the only method to obtain it. Evolving requires 50 Shroodle Candy, so diligent hatching or using Shroodle as a buddy Pokémon is key.

Pokémon GO is available now.
