Infinity Nikki Developers Address Player Concerns
Following persistent player demands for transparency, the Infinity Nikki development team has finally acknowledged issues with the troubled Version 1.5 update. The recent rollout faced significant criticism from the community for feeling incomplete - a concern the developers have now validated by admitting they rushed the release. This admission comes alongside disappointing news for players: Version 1.6 has been officially postponed.
Revised Release Schedule
Originally slated for June 4th, Version 1.6 will now launch on June 12th instead. The delay means the current Bubble Season content will remain active longer than planned. All ongoing events including Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? will continue through the extension period. Similarly, special shops and promotions like Pear-Pal Selected Store, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar top-up event will maintain availability.
Developer Apology and Commitments
In their official statement, the team expressed regret for the situation while citing technical challenges across platforms (including PS performance issues) as primary reasons for the delay. They emphasized that postponed story content like Threads of Reunion remains in development rather than cancelled. The extended timeline allows for refining core gameplay systems before the next major update.
Compensation and Community Response
To make amends for recent technical issues including quest bugs and co-op mode problems, the developers are offering daily compensation of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal from June 5th-12th (requiring daily login to claim). The timing of this announcement alongside new outfit promotions has drawn criticism from some players questioning the team's priorities.
