Indus Surpasses 11M Pre-registrations, Embraces New 4v4 Mode

By MatthewFeb 06,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This marks another significant achievement for the game, which has now surpassed 11 million pre-registrations. However, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.

Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for the Indian market, features the classic battle royale gameplay with innovative additions like a Grudge system. The closed beta also boasts an enhanced audio experience, thanks to recent improvements to sound effects and music.

Initially announced in 2022, Indus has undergone several beta phases, steadily adding features and attracting a growing player base. This surge in popularity is unsurprising, given India's booming mobile gaming market. The recent pre-registration milestone, exceeding 11 million, follows a previous milestone of 10 million in March, indicating a sustained, though perhaps less rapid, growth.

While the 11 million pre-registrations are impressive, the growth rate has slowed compared to previous periods. The anticipation for a full public release remains high, despite the earlier speculated late 2023 launch date having passed. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or at least a public beta.
