Destiny Child is back! Originally launched in 2016 and archived in September 2023, this beloved game is getting a full revival under Com2uS, taking over development from ShiftUp.
A Brand New Game?
Com2uS and ShiftUp have partnered to create a completely new Destiny Child experience – an idle RPG! Development will be spearheaded by Com2uS's Tiki Taka Studio, known for their work on the tactical RPG, Arcana Tactics.
This isn't just a re-release; it's a reimagining. Com2uS aims to capture the original game's charm, including its stunning 2D characters, while introducing fresh gameplay mechanics.
Remember the Memorial Version?
Destiny Child's initial release was a hit, celebrated for its captivating characters and real-time battles. Following its closure after nearly seven years, ShiftUp launched a memorial version allowing players to revisit the game.
While not the full game, the memorial app provides a nostalgic trip down memory lane, showcasing the beautiful character art and allowing players to reconnect with their cherished Childs. Access requires verification using previous account data, so only pre-shutdown players can access it.
