Pokémon Center Hiroshima Announces Relocation
New Gyarados-Themed Playground Revealed
Pokémon Center Hiroshima will conclude operations at its current site by late March and plans to reopen near Hiroshima Station's north exit in April 2025. Simultaneously, the brand-new Gyarados Plaza launches this March, as detailed on their official website.
The relocated store will occupy the second floor of Ekie at Hiroshima Station's north entrance. Established in June 2015, the original location currently operates on Sogo Hiroshima's sixth floor, adjacent to RIHGA Royal Hotel and facing Hiroshima Prefectural Office.
The upcoming "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" will transform Soramoa Plaza's rooftop on Minamoa - Hiroshima Station's new building. Official descriptions portray it as "an interactive space featuring massive Gyarados-inspired playground equipment, allowing visitors of all ages to engage with Pokémon uniquely."
Scheduled for March 24, 2025 opening, the plaza will initially require advance reservations for equipment access. Updates will appear on Minamoa's official website. Current operating hours remain 10:00 AM to 7:30 PM daily.
Japan-Wide Poke-lun TV Celebration Event
Prior to relocation, Hiroshima's Pokémon Center will participate in a national event commemorating "Poke-lun TV" surpassing one million YouTube subscribers.
Fans can collect exclusive stickers by presenting a password from Poke-lun TV's December 19, 2024 YouTube video at any participating location. Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa locations will feature special photo ops with channel hosts Takkun, Tokichan, Ha-chan, Tai-chan, and Riri-chan.
Running from January 17 to February 16, 2025, this promotion excludes Pokémon Store, Pokémon Center Online, Pokémon Cafe, and Pikachu Sweets locations.
