Gyarados Ex Analysis
Gyarados Ex boasts impressive stats: 180 HP, making it resilient against Mewtwo Ex and Pikachu Ex. Its "Rampaging Whirlpool" attack (3 Water, 1 Colorless Energy) discards a random Energy from all Pokémon, then deals 140 damage. This, combined with its high HP, makes it a powerful finisher. Its weakness is Lightning, and it has a 3-Retreat Cost.
Gyarados Ex/Greninja Combo Deck
This deck utilizes a strategic approach:
- Pokémon: Froakie x2, Frogadier x2, Greninja x2, Druddigon x2, Magikarp x2, Gyarados Ex x2
- Trainers: Misty x2, Leaf x2, Professor’s Research x2, Poké Ball x2
Druddigon (100 HP) acts as a sturdy defender and inflicts chip damage. Greninja provides additional chip damage and serves as an alternate attacker. Gyarados Ex delivers the knockout blow once enough damage has been accumulated.
Gyarados Ex/Starmie Ex/Vaporeon Combo Deck
This deck offers a faster, more versatile game plan:
- Pokémon: Magikarp x2, Gyarados Ex x2, Eevee (Mythical Island) x2, Vaporeon (Mythical Island) x2, Staryu x2, Starmie Ex x2
- Trainers: Misty x2, Sabrina, Giovanni, Professor’s Research x2, Poké Ball x2
Starmie Ex's zero-cost retreat allows for quick Gyarados Ex deployment. Vaporeon facilitates efficient Energy management, ensuring Gyarados Ex is always ready to attack. Gyarados Ex remains the powerful finisher.
