"Guide to Farming Sharp Fang in Monster Hunter Wilds"

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, Sharp Fangs are essential for crafting, particularly for beginner-tier gear like Chatacabra and Talioth armor. These valuable resources can be found early in the game, specifically in the Windward Plains, which you'll visit at the start of the story. To embark on your quest for Sharp Fangs, consider taking on optional quests such as "Beware the Chatacabra" or "The Desert is Demanding." These quests will lead you to the Windward Plains and provide a generous 50-minute time limit. Before setting out, make sure to cook and eat a meal to boost your performance.

Once you arrive, head east to Area 8, the largest area on the map, where you'll encounter various smaller monsters. Among these, two stand out for Sharp Fang drops: Gaijos and Talioth.

Gaijos are small leviathan monsters resembling crocodiles with unique snouts. You can find them near riverbeds or swimming in them, often alone. Use the interactive map to locate them by looking for purple diamonds near water sources. Gaijos are easy to take down with your equipped weapon due to their low health. Upon defeating a Gaijos and carving its carcass, you're guaranteed to receive 1 x Sharp Fang.

Since Gaijos are guaranteed to drop Sharp Fangs, they should be your priority. There are typically four to five Gaijos in the Windward Plains upon entering the region. If you need more, you can easily re-enter via any of the Windward Plains optional quests to continue farming.

Talioth

Talioth, another small monster in the Windward Plains, can also drop Sharp Fangs, though it's not guaranteed. These bipedal creatures roam in small packs in Areas 8 and 13. While slightly tougher than Gaijos, they're manageable with starter weapons. When you carve a Talioth carcass, you might receive other items like Talioth Scales, but there's also a chance for Sharp Fangs. Additionally, hunting Talioths can help you complete the "The Desert is Demanding" quest, which requires you to kill 8 x Talioths.
