If you've forgotten Samin's hint, your journey to find the Rime Beetle will take you to the Iceshard Cliffs region. Unlike setting a simple waypoint, finding this creature requires more than just a map marker and your Seikret's guidance.

Relying on your observational skills and a bit of luck, you'll need to scour the wilds for the Rime Beetle. Fortunately, it's not as daunting as it sounds. This endemic creature is known for rolling up balls of packed snow, making it relatively easy to spot in snowy areas.

Focus your search in the Iceshard Cliffs' snowy zones, specifically Areas 2, 7, 8, 11, and 13. Traverse these areas, keeping an eye out for snowballs. Additionally, if you spot tracks in the snow, follow them—they might lead you straight to a Rime Beetle.

While you can collect the Rime Beetle manually or with the Hook Slinger, capturing it requires a different approach. Equip your Capture Net, which should already be in your equipment list. Hold L1/LB to cycle through your options until you reach the Capture Net, then press Square/X to select it. Aim with L2/LT, ensuring the Rime Beetle is within your crosshairs. Wait for the crosshairs to turn orange, then fire to capture the beetle.

Successfully capturing the Rime Beetle will not only add it to your collection but also fulfill Samin's request. If you choose to collect it the traditional way, you'll obtain Frost Pods, which are useful for inflicting ice damage in *Monster Hunter Wilds*.

That covers everything you need to know about finding and capturing Rime Beetles in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and detailed information, keep exploring The Escapist.
