GTA V PC Launch Scheduled for March 4

By AnthonyMay 20,2025

After over two years of anticipation, PC gamers of Grand Theft Auto V can finally rejoice as a major update is set to launch on March 4. This update promises to bring the PC version in line with the native PS5 and Xbox Series versions, which were released in 2022. Best of all, this upgrade will be available to all current players at no additional cost, with seamless transfer of progress in both GTA Online and the Story Mode, ensuring no one misses out on their hard-earned achievements.

The lion's share of the update is dedicated to GTA Online, introducing a vast array of content that was previously exclusive to console players. Moreover, the GTA+ subscription service, which offers perks like accelerated business profits, will now be accessible on PC. Rockstar Games is also stepping up its game with enhanced anti-cheat measures to ensure a fairer playing field for everyone.

Alongside new content, the update will deliver significant graphical enhancements, elevating the visual experience to new heights. However, this comes with a caveat: the system requirements for the game will increase. Players with hardware that can't meet these new standards will have the option to continue playing the older version, which will still receive support from the developers. It's worth noting, though, that there will be no cross-version play, so keep this in mind if you're planning to game with friends on different versions.
