In *Path of Exile 2*, the Golden Idols you can collect during Act 3 are unique Quest Items that don't behave like typical quest items. Unlike regular quests that update your log, collecting a Golden Idol won't add a quest to your journal. Instead, these idols are valuable items you can sell for a significant amount of gold. There are five Golden Idols to find in total.
How to Get Golden Idols in Path of Exile 2
Upon reaching Act 3 and exploring the ruins of the Vaal civilization beneath the Ziggurat Encampment, you'll be transported back in time to the once-magnificent Vaal city of Utzaal, known as The Drowned City in the present. This city showcases the Vaal at the peak of its power, but don't let its grandeur distract you from your goal.
In the past version of the Vaal civilization, you'll find Golden Idols scattered throughout Utzaal and the connected area of Aggorat. Specifically, you can find three idols in Utzaal and two in Aggorat:
- Golden Idols in Utzaal
Glorious Idol
Golden Idol
Grand Idol
- Golden Idols in Aggorat
Exceptional Idol
Elegant Idol
These idols can be found on the ground or on pedestals, often in side rooms connected to the main areas. Keep in mind that Golden Idols do not drop from enemies; you must search the environment to find them.
What to Do with Golden Idols in PoE 2
Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment to sell it for gold. Not all vendors will accept these idols, so head to the north side of the encampment and speak with **Oswald**. He will comment on your Idol, and when you access the Buy & Sell screen with him, you can sell each idol for a substantial amount of gold:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
If you manage to collect all five Golden Idols during your exploration of Utzaal and Aggorat, you'll earn a total of **6000 Gold**. Since these idols take up inventory space and serve no other purpose than being sold, it's wise to return to the encampment after finding them to sell and free up your inventory.
