The Benefits of Gold Armor

First introduced in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, Gold Armor automatically repairs itself over time, eliminating the constant need for armor plates. This is particularly useful for managing resources and ensuring you survive encounters with powerful enemies like Amalgams. While manual plating remains an option, the self-repair feature is a crucial advantage.

Obtaining the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Locate Statue Heads: Find two statue heads within the Dark Aether Nexus. These are hidden inside destructible wooden boxes. Melee attack the boxes to reveal the heads and then interact to collect them. One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal. The other is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine on a raised platform.

   

2. Repair the Statues: Take the statue heads to the Dig Site. Place them on the two ruined Roman statues. One is near the Ammo Cache, the other near the Roman Mausoleum (Pack-a-Punch area).

3. Complete the Blood Sacrifices: Activating a repaired statue initiates a "Blood Sacrifice." This involves surviving waves of powerful HVT (High-Value Target) enemies: Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The sacrifice reduces your health to 1 HP, but damage is absorbed by your armor. It's recommended to have a Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates before starting. Solo players can exploit the Mangler ability (Mutant Injection) to survive, while co-op teams can utilize a Chopper Gunner.

   

4. Purchase the Vest: After completing two Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest will become available for purchase as a Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
