Genshin Impact players eagerly awaiting the 5.4 update in a week can currently exploit a surprising strategy to effortlessly defeat even the toughest bosses, regardless of their seemingly massive health pools. Ironically, this exploit centers around the Hydro Traveler, a character often deemed one of the game's weakest DPS options.
The exploit's mechanics are surprisingly straightforward. Utilizing the Hydro Traveler's Elemental Burst in conjunction with Xiao Lanterns (obtained during the Lantern Rite Festival) is the key. By strategically placing a significant number of Xiao Lanterns near a boss and then activating the Elemental Burst, players witness a dramatic and unexpected reduction in the boss's health.
This amplified damage stems from the Elemental Burst's interaction with the lanterns, resulting in a substantial area-of-effect (AoE) increase. Deploying a hundred lanterns, for example, can generate millions of damage points.
While this exploit is almost certainly destined for a nerf in future updates, it currently provides a remarkably easy path to conquer challenging boss encounters with minimal effort.
