How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact draws to a close, the game's lore unravels fascinating secrets and the combat evolves with each new revelation. One of the most formidable challenges players face in this region is the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire, a weekly boss that stands out for its difficulty and mechanics. This dual-sworded dragon, embodying the primal essence of Natlan's original ruler, Gosoythoth, brings a daunting challenge to the battlefield. Its connection to the Abyss and the Corrosion effect, similar to the Riftwolves from Inazuma, adds layers of complexity to the fight. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to conquer this formidable foe in Genshin Impact.
Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire awaits at the Stone Stele Records domain, located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is housed within a shrine commemorating those lost in the Natlan battle. To engage this boss, players must spend 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly encounters.
To unlock this boss, players need to complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest titled "When All Becomes A Monument." Alternatively, for those who wish to bypass the story, the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer’s Handbook provides direct access to the domain.
How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
Successfully defeating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire often requires the use of Natlan-specific characters such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, Mualani, and others, due to their unique abilities. The dragon, while generally stationary, will periodically summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora, which can be more effectively dealt with using characters wielding Nightsoul Blessings.
Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing
While it's possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, it's far more efficient with Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina. These characters can quickly break the Pillars' shields, preventing the dragon from unleashing its Eroded Meteor strike. Breaking the Pillars will briefly immobilize the dragon, giving you a 10-second window to inflict damage.
However, if the Pillars aren't destroyed swiftly enough, prepare for the meteor strike. Ensure you have a shield equipped and a healer ready, as the Corrosion effect can still penetrate through shields and deal significant damage. Reliable healers like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, and Bennett are essential to surviving this phase.
Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon
Dodging the dragon's attacks can be challenging due to their unpredictability. The dragon can transform into smoke and move around the arena, making it hard to anticipate its next move. Its primary attacks include sword slashes and smashes that can alter the battlefield, making navigation even more difficult.
Staying close to the dragon and attacking from underneath can be a viable strategy, but caution is needed due to the Corrosion effect from its Eroded Dragon Breath attack. This attack involves the dragon impaling its swords into the ground, causing Pyro and Erosion damage. Staying close to its hands can help you avoid the Dragon Breath's reach. Swift healing is crucial to counteract the Erosion effect from any sword slashes.
Co-Op Mode and Matching
Regardless of whether you have Natlan characters, consider using Co-Op Mode to tackle this boss. Teaming up with others who possess Nightsoul Blessing characters can make the Pillar phase much more manageable. Simply enter the Domain and click the 'Match' button to join another player's world for an easier fight.
Unlike some previous Weekly Bosses, the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire does not have multiple phases, but it still requires a significant amount of time and strategy to defeat.
