Following the Version 5.7 update, Genshin Impact Version 5.8 fully embraces the summer spirit. Launching on July 30th, Sunspray Summer Resort welcomes you to the shores of Natlan’s Easybreeze Holiday Resort—a new permanent destination featuring spray-paint puzzles, sun-drenched minigames, and the series' first Nod-Krai character.

This lively island chain represents Natlan's soft launch, reuniting Bennett, Chasca, and Mualani for a relaxed adventure. Even Venti makes an appearance, reportedly to catch up with an old companion. Assisting your exploration is Asha, the cheerful mascot who provides unique traversal abilities like hovering and gliding across water.

These skills prove valuable for discovering hidden secrets and solving the intricate puzzles scattered throughout the resort's multiple levels. However, beneath the island's sunny exterior lies the dormant threat of Bakunawa, the legendary creature of Mare Jivari waiting deep underground. During your journey, you'll encounter Ineffa, a 5-star Electro polearm wielder who initiates the Song of the Welkin Moon storyline. Created by the enigmatic Aino of Nod-Krai, she introduces the new Lunar-Charged elemental reaction. Her deployable unit, Birgitta, enhances combat effectiveness by dashing through enemies and synchronizing with Thunderclouds for additional AoE Electro damage.

The resort also features numerous summer activities. From rhythm parties and aquatic skirmishes to companion missions with Kau Kau and Akamai, you can collect Sunspray Spirit to unlock the 4-star Claymore Flame-Forged Insight and Bennett's new outfit, Adventures in Blazing Hue. Yelan also returns with a fresh Fontaine-inspired costume and specialized investigation tools.

The update adds several system improvements, including smart material tracking, automated quest time navigation, and new tutorial videos integrated into character pages to help you master the expanding roster.
