The game promises to introduce a brand-new Purpose Path, long-awaited mod support, and much more, all while preserving the essence of the original Frostpunk. In a detailed Steam post on the same day, the developers shared their vision for this ambitious project.
11 bit Studios is transitioning from their proprietary Liquid Engine, used for the first game, to the Unreal Engine. This shift was inspired by their experience with Frostpunk 2, which utilized Unreal Engine 5. "Our goal is to enhance the original with stunning visuals, higher resolutions, and all the innovative features Unreal Engine offers," the team stated.
