Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!
Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for four days of free gameplay. This campaign runs from January 9th to February 6th, 2025, and is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
This generous offer coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the much-anticipated return of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message further fueled excitement, confirming the arrival of Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates and a cryptic hint regarding Dawntrail's narrative direction.
The Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the adventure. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start (January 9th, 3:00 AM Eastern Time). The 96-hour play window begins upon logging into the game launcher. Accounts suspended or cancelled for violating the terms of service are ineligible. Players can verify their eligibility status on the Mog Station.
While enjoying the free playtime, players can also participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th), earning a celebratory minion, and anticipate Patch 7.16 (January 21st), concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest side series. This free period offers a great chance to catch up on Dawntrail's story before the arrival of Patch 7.2. The future of Dawntrail remains shrouded in mystery, promising further exciting developments in 2025.
