Square Enix is no stranger to the mobile gaming scene with the Final Fantasy franchise. However, their past ventures have yielded mixed results. Take Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, for instance—it was decent but didn't quite meet the high expectations of many fans. And then there's Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia, which unfortunately shut down last year. So, the idea of porting a complex MMORPG like FFXIV to mobile is certainly a bold move.
