Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the sequel continuing the story beyond Midgar, receives update 1.080. This update enhances realism and provides a more immersive tactile experience. The PC version launches January 23, 2025. This second installment expands the storyline with a greater focus on exploration.
While Final Fantasy XVI's initial May 2024 sales were disappointing and ultimately fell short of projections, Square Enix clarified that it doesn't consider the game a complete failure and believes it can still meet its targets within the planned 18-month timeframe.
