How to Stop the Feud in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (Battle of Frogs & Mice Quest Guide)

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the persistent feud between Prochek and Olbram threatens to erupt into all-out war during the "Battle of the Frogs and Mice" side quest. But don't despair! There's a way to bring peace to these warring factions. Here's how to end the conflict.

How to Start the Battle of Frogs and Mice in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

This side quest unlocks after completing either the Mice or Frogs quests for Prochek and Olbram. Regardless of your choice, the next quest will become available. Simply speak to Prochek in Tachov or Olbram in Zhelejov to begin. Once the quest starts, head to the pasture to witness the brewing conflict.

Should You Side With Prochek or Olbram?

You'll be pressured to choose a side, but there's a better path. To side with Prochek, tell him "Let's get those Zhelejovites!" In Zhelejov, tell Olbram "Let's go and see those Tachovites!" During the pasture confrontation, a successful dialogue check might cause an enemy to flee, simplifying the battle. Winning the fight for either side yields some groschen.

How to Stop the Feud

To achieve a peaceful resolution, before heading to the pasture, ask Prochek or Olbram if they're open to ending the feud. Then, travel to Troskowitz and speak with Bailiff Thrush. Choose the dialogue option, "You’d finally have some peace."

A successful dialogue check allows you to read the Troskowitz Chronicle in the scribe's room (you can sneak in if necessary, but save your game first!). Speak with the scribe and select, "Fecit, ordinem in regione ope clavi ferrei."

Next, find three oak trees in the pasture. Examine the middle tree to discover a nail. You can:

• Leave the nail in the middle tree for an equal division of the pasture.
• Place it in the west tree to favor Tachov.
• Place it in the east tree to favor Zhelejov.

The choice doesn't significantly impact the outcome. After placing the nail, speak with Bailiff Thrush again to finalize the peace agreement. Finally, talk to Prochek or Olbram to bring them to the pasture and officially end the feud. You'll receive the Master Studies I book as a reward from Bailiff Thrush.
