Fan-Favorite Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

By EvelynApr 24,2025

Attention all Sim enthusiasts, the notorious Burglar is making a grand return. If you've ever played any of the classic Sims games, you'll recognize Robin Banks, who is now part of the latest update for The Sims 4. This update is rolling out across PC and console platforms, so prepare to safeguard your valuables. Robin Banks typically strikes under the cover of night, targeting homes when everyone is asleep. However, she's bold enough to attempt a heist even when Sims are awake, so stay vigilant.

To fend off this cunning thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will arrive promptly to arrest her and recover your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the police can save the day. Alternatively, if you're feeling brave, take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

While burglar events are designed to be rare, thrill-seekers can activate the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc to increase the chances of a break-in. The Sims team expressed their excitement about bringing the Burglar back to the universe, stating, "We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe. Sending a special shout out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old and the series marking its 25th anniversary, it continues to thrive. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 reached 20 million unique players within four years of its premium release. The shift to a free-to-play model in 2022 resulted in an impressive influx of 31 million new players, bringing the total to 85 million by May 2024. As for The Sims 5, there are currently no plans in place… Plum!
