"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Walking Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has made its way to Android devices, offering a unique blend of elements. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this game is available for $3.99. It's not just any walking simulator; it's one with a twist and an eerie atmosphere that will make you second-guess every step you take.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, players navigate through what seems like an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You find yourself trapped in a loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and even the solitary man walking towards you repeat endlessly.

The challenge lies in spotting anomalies. A poster might display a different image than before, or the lights might flicker a bit too intensely. Sometimes, you might even encounter something as blatant as a river of blood where the floor should be. The core mechanic of the game revolves around noticing these subtle changes and reacting quickly.

If you spot something unusual, you need to turn back. If not, keep moving forward. The objective is to reach the eighth exit without making a mistake. This means correctly spotting and reacting to anomalies eight times consecutively. Fail, and you must start over.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms. The setting mirrors real Japanese metro stations, such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo, capturing the essence of claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture.

The Exit 8 engages players by encouraging them to scrutinize their surroundings, searching for the smallest details that may indicate danger or a shift in reality. This mechanic forces you to question your memory and perception, making each playthrough uniquely unsettling.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, The Exit 8 took approximately nine months to develop. Upon its release, it garnered 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
