The film will be produced by a powerhouse team including Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich from DNA Films, and George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis, who have both been instrumental in the "Game of Thrones" series. Elden Ring Coming Off Strong This 2025

As the live-action movie gears up for production, the Elden Ring video game series continues to thrive. Since its debut in 2022, the original Elden Ring has not only sold over 13.4 million copies within its first five weeks but also reached a staggering 30 million copies sold worldwide by April 2025, as celebrated on the official Elden Ring X (Twitter) account. This monumental success underscores its status as one of the most popular and awarded games ever, boasting over 324 Game of the Year accolades.

Looking ahead to 2025, FromSoftware is set to expand the Elden Ring universe even further with two new releases. First, "Elden Ring Nightreign," a co-op action game set in the realm of Limveld, invites players to become Nightfarers and thwart the rise of the Nightlord. This spinoff promises familiar elements from the original game, reimagined for a new multiplayer experience, and will launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 30th.

Additionally, the "Elden Ring Tarnished Edition" is slated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. This complete edition will include the 2024 DLC "Shadow of the Erdtree," four new armor sets, and customization options for the three variants of Torrent the Spectral Steed. While it won't be a launch title for the console, fans can look forward to experiencing Elden Ring on the Switch 2 later this year.
