Electronic Arts (EA), the renowned gaming company, is currently hosting a playtest for their upcoming game, *City Life: Game with Friends*. This initiative is part of EA’s innovative *The Sims Project Rene*, an experimental venture aimed at exploring new gameplay concepts and gathering valuable feedback.
As a limited-time playtest, participants will have the opportunity to experience early gameplay mechanics and provide insights into how the game performs and how players engage with it. However, it's important to note that this is not the final version of the game and should not be considered a definitive representation of the finished product.
Where Is the Playtest Available?
The playtest is exclusively available for Android users, but there are specific requirements. To participate, your device must run at least Android 12 and have a minimum of 4GB of RAM. Unfortunately, it is not open to all players globally.
The game will remain accessible until April 4th, 2025, but the exact shutdown time varies by region:
- 7 PM UTC
- 6 AM AEST (Australia)
- 3 AM PHT (Philippines)
After this deadline, the app will stop functioning, and users will need to uninstall it.
What Can You Expect?
Once inside the game, you’ll be able to craft a personalized avatar that reflects your unique style and vibe. The vibrant neighborhood offers plenty of activities to dive into, such as shopping for new outfits at the Thrift Shop, relaxing at the Café, or participating in community events.
Collaboration is at the heart of the experience. You can organize block parties, make wishes at the Plaza Fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. Social interaction plays a key role, encouraging players to connect over shared interests in art, music, and meaningful conversations.
If you’re intrigued, head over to the Google Play Store to join the playtest (provided you’re in one of the eligible regions). For more gaming updates, stay tuned to our next article on Bandai Namco’s decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
