Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Demo Available Today

By AaronFeb 25,2025

A free demo for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth’s spin-off, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, launches today! Available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK.

The demo, announced via X/Twitter by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, offers a taste of the full game, releasing February 21st on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (without a demo). While progress likely won't carry over, the demo provides access to Honolulu and Madlantis areas, normally unavailable early in the main game.

Players can explore these locations, experiment with "Mad Dog" and "Sea Dog" fighting styles, battle powerful enemies, engage in four ship and deck battles within the Pirates' Coliseum, utilize new customization options, and enjoy karaoke with three songs.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, following amnesiac pirate Goro Majima, is a spin-off sequel to Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The October Xbox Partner Showcase trailer highlighted ship combat reminiscent of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and the return of Taiga Saejima, hinting at deeper connections to the main series.

Estimated playtime is 15-18 hours, significantly longer than Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. A Kiryu Kazuma costume is unlockable by signing up for email notifications or a Sega rewards program.
