As they progress, players will uncover more about Lau's recruitment tactics and the mysterious "Cassandra" mission, adding layers of intrigue to their journey.
A highlight of this season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, which revolutionizes combat dynamics by promoting aggressive playstyles. By taking down enemies and accomplishing combat challenges, agents can build up their momentum. While standard kills contribute a small increase, the meter surges with critical hits, skillful combinations, multi-kills, and defeating elite foes. As momentum builds, players gain access to enhanced abilities, including accelerated movement, swift reloads, amplified damage output, and heightened firing rates. At its zenith, the Overcharge feature activates, significantly reducing ability cooldowns and offering a thrilling gameplay edge.
Alongside the invigorated combat system, "Burden of Truth" introduces a range of new weaponry and gear. Holders of the Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass are treated to an expanded inventory with 50 additional slots. Standout additions include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves.
