Disney Mirrorverse Announces EOS By The End Of This Year

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers are permanently closed.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse offered a compelling premise: action-packed battles featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar heroes. While initially met with enthusiasm, the extended beta period and infrequent content updates led to player attrition.

The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant time investment or in-app purchases to fully develop characters, also contributed to its decline. Despite this, the game's artistic merit, particularly its innovative and visually stunning character designs, remains noteworthy.

The Unexpected EOS Announcement

The timing of the EOS announcement is particularly surprising, given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This abrupt closure follows a pattern established by Kabam, who previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off without extensive prior notice.
