How to Find the Templar Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To begin your hunt for Kimura Kei, start by speaking with a ronin contact in Kii. You can find him in the heart of Nakahechi Route at the inn in Takahara Village. If you need to pinpoint his exact location, consider using Scouts. Once you arrive, look for the building adorned with green flags near a cherry blossom tree. Inside, you'll encounter a ronin dressed in Oda Clan attire. Engage him in conversation, and he will direct you to a recruiter named Kumabe Ujiie.
Where to Find Kumabe Ujiie
Kumabe Ujiie awaits you in northern Kii, specifically at a cemetery in Koyasan, northeast of Kongobuji Temple. You'll see him walking with a group of ronin, but it's best to ignore them. Approach Kumabe and choose the “I seek guidance” dialogue option. Follow him, and he will eventually reveal Kimura Kei's location.
How and Where to Assassinate Kimura Kei
Kimura Kei's Training Grounds are situated in the southwestern part of Kii, just north of the shore, roughly halfway between Sazae Oni Shores and Nakahechi Route. Upon reaching the training grounds, follow the other students to locate Kimura Kei. He will recognize Yasuke and order his students to attack.
Prepare for a fierce battle as you'll be surrounded by hostile ronin. Equip your highest level armor and weapons to withstand the onslaught. As you progress towards Kimura Kei, utilize the strategically placed red explosive barrels, shooting them with your bow or teppo to clear out groups of enemies.
The confrontation with Kimura Kei evolves into a multi-phase boss fight, where stealth assassination is not an option. Ensure your armor has an engraving that allows you to parry unblockable attacks, as Kimura Kei will frequently use them.
In the first phase, he wields a standard Katana. Parry his attacks to make him vulnerable, then use posture attacks and abilities to chip away at his armor. As his armor nears breaking, the fight shifts to a second phase where he wields a Long Katana alongside his standard Katana, increasing his use of unblockable attacks. Focus on dodging and striking when opportunities arise.
When Kimura Kei's health drops to about half, the fight moves outdoors. Here, his attacks become even more dangerous, necessitating frequent dodging and maintaining distance. Employ ranged attacks with your bow or teppo to damage him safely from afar.
Every Reward for Killing Kimura Kei in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Upon defeating Kimura Kei, you will be rewarded with 3,000 XP, some Mon, and the Templar-themed Destroyer Samurai Armor and Helmet. The armor features an engraving that reduces the impact of enemy attacks, while the helmet boosts Yasuke’s damage by 10% for every 10% of his health missing.
How to Find the Silver Queen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
After defeating the Shinbakufu, the Silver Queen will appear on the Templar Board, aiding the Portuguese in their plundering of Tamba. To reach her, you must first consult with a spy.
Where to Find and Talk to The Spy
The spy, vital for information on the Silver Queen, is located in Southeast Tamba within the Silver Lands. Once inside the investigation area, you'll spot him seated on a rug under a small structure next to a wooden cart and crates. Converse with him to uncover the Silver Queen's whereabouts.
Where to Meet the Silver Queen
The Silver Queen can be found in the town of Tada, just Northeast of Tada Kakurega. Approach her as she converses with Portuguese soldiers. Follow her to her residence for tea, only to awaken later in Tada Silver Mine.
How to Escape from Tada Silver Mine
Upon waking in Tada Silver Mine after being drugged, break through the locked door by sprinting into it. After dealing with the alerted guards, you have the choice to fight or sneak out. Opting for stealth will save time and resources. Head Southwest out of the mine, eliminating any threats in your path, and escape the area.
How to Locate Akechi Mitsuyoshi
The Silver Queen requires Yasuke's assistance in rescuing her brother, Akechi Mitsuyoshi, in exchange for information on Yasuke’s true target. After escaping Tada Silver Mine, head north towards Kameyama Castle. If you need to restock on Ammo or Rations, visit the Kakurega just north of Senneji Temple upon entering Kameyama.
Activate Pathfinder to navigate Kameyama Castle, eliminating guards as you follow the suggested route. Inside the living quarters, you'll find a wounded servant who will provide you with a key to the castle’s Tenshu.
How to Free Akechi Mitsuyoshi and Retrieve His Katana
With the Tenshu key in hand, enter the main castle building beneath the Viewpoint and unlock the marked door where Akechi Mitsuyoshi is held. Follow him as he escapes, using your bow or teppo to neutralize threats from a distance. Once he is safe, return to the castle to confront Baltazar, who has Akechi Mitsuyoshi’s Katana. Eliminate his surrounding soldiers first to face him one-on-one. Use abilities and posture attacks to break his guard and deal significant damage.
After defeating Baltazar and reclaiming the Katana, head north to Atago Shrine. There, speak with Akechi Mitsuyoshi and follow him to the Shrine to learn the location of your next target.
How to Find and Assassinate Nuno Caro
Yasuke’s final target, Nuno Caro, is preparing to leave Japan. He is located in Western Tamba at Takeda Castle, high atop a mountain at the end of a winding road. Activate Pathfinder to find the most direct route.
Takeda Castle is teeming with enemies and alarm bells. As stealth may be challenging for Yasuke, disable the alarms with your bow or teppo to avoid detection. Ascend the castle, eliminating Nuno Caro’s men until you reach a set of double doors. Interact with them to initiate the confrontation with Nuno Caro.
Nuno Caro awaits at the castle's summit. His combat style mirrors that of his soldiers, using a sword and a pistol. Be ready to block or parry his four-swing combo and dodge when his pistol glows red, signaling an imminent shot. Use abilities to inflict high damage and create openings for attacks, repeating this cycle until he is defeated. With Nuno Caro's demise, the Templar Hunt Objective Board will be complete.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is available from March 20th on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
