Acquire Your Pet

Upon launching Diablo 4 Season 7, immediately visit the nearest town's Wardrobe. Claim your pet! While combat-ineffective, it significantly streamlines loot collection, freeing you to focus on combat and maximizing your efficiency.

Recruit Your Mercenaries

Vessel of Hatred expansion owners should head to the Den and recruit Mercenaries. Solo players can utilize two, easing leveling and combat while building Rapport for extra rewards.

Follow the Seasonal Questline for XP

Begin on Normal difficulty and diligently follow Season 7's questline (marked by green leaf icons). This introduces new mechanics, including Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and Witch powers. While relatively short, it involves puzzles and primarily focuses on Headhunt zone Favor farming. This is the most efficient method to reach level 60. Continuously farm Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, and upgrade Witch powers concurrently.

Unlock Your Class Power

A convenient change: prior class-specific quests are skipped if completed on a previous character (requires a prior character login on the Eternal realm). For example, a Season 7 Rogue player should first log in with a previously leveled Rogue to automatically unlock their class power upon reaching the necessary level.

Mastering Headhunt Zones

Focus on completing Whispers within Headhunt zones. Four are active at any time; prioritize smaller, denser zones for faster mob farming and Whisper completion. Prioritize these Whisper quests:

Fugitive Shepherd: Simple escort mission.
Fugitive: Requires Elite defeat and root interaction to recover a head or destroy a husk.

Exchange 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers or with the Raven of the Tree (spawns in each Headhunt zone).

Harnessing Witchcraft Powers

The Tree of Whispers' Altars of Witchcraft allow purchasing and upgrading Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot (obtained from Rot enemies). Prioritize damage-boosting powers. Note that some powers require interacting with Forgotten Altars (found in dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds at Torment 1 or higher, or boosted by a Draught of Whispers).

Conquering Rootholds

Rootholds (accessed with Whispering Woods from Whispers and Silent Chests) are rogue-lite dungeons offering adjustable modifiers impacting loot quality. Save Roothold keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.

Utilizing Occult Gems

Craft Occult Gems (from Gelena at the Tree of Whispers) for superior jewelry enhancements. These are late-game items, requiring significant Restless Rot and Heads (from Roothold bosses and Fugitives; Draught of Whispers increases Head drop rates).

Optimizing Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons

Continue incorporating Pits (for Glyph leveling) and Nightmare Dungeons (for Glyphs) into your routine. Farm Infernal Hordes for masterworking materials to enhance Uniques.
