Crunchyroll Drops Roguelike Rhythm Game Crypt Of The NecroDancer On Android

Crunchyroll's mobile port of the rhythm roguelike, Crypt of the NecroDancer, is now available on Android! Previously released on PC and with earlier mobile iterations, this Crunchyroll-published version (titled "Crunchyroll: NecroDancer") boasts a wealth of new content.

What is Crypt of the NecroDancer?

This beat-matching adventure casts you as Cadence, a treasure hunter's daughter searching for her missing parent within a rhythmically-challenging crypt. The roguelike nature ensures each playthrough is unique. Fifteen playable characters, each with distinct styles, add replayability. Danny Baranowsky's original soundtrack provides the pulse for gameplay, demanding precise movement and attacks synchronized to the music. Failure to maintain the beat results in immediate demise. Expect a cast of equally rhythmic enemies, ranging from dancing skeletons to hip-hop dragons.

More Than Just a Port

This mobile release isn't a simple port. Crunchyroll and Brace Yourself Games have added remixes, fresh content, and even Danganronpa character skins. Cross-platform multiplayer and mod support are included. Further enriching the experience, Hatsune Miku DLC and the Synchrony expansion are slated for release later this year.

Available now on the Google Play Store for Crunchyroll subscribers, Crypt of the NecroDancer offers a compelling blend of rhythm and roguelike gameplay. Dive in and experience the beat! Also, check out our other news on the upcoming Star Trek Lower Decks x Doctor Who crossover!
