As the highly anticipated Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles confirms its release date this year, Matsuno penned an emotional X/Twitter post suggesting his story resonates anew amid 2025"s societal tensions.
"Three decades ago," Matsuno reflects, "Japan"s economic collapse buried financial institutions under toxic debt, sparking mass layoffs and cultural stagnation. In this climate of lost hope, where dreams became transactional commodities..."
