Crashlands 2 adds Legend Mode in revamp

By GabriellaSep 17,2025

Crashlands 2 Receives Significant New Update

The adventure continues as Crashlands 2 unveils its first major update since launch. Players can now test their skills in the brutally challenging Legends Mode or enjoy a more relaxed experience with Explorer Mode. Beyond difficulty adjustments, the update introduces quality-of-life improvements and fresh content to enhance gameplay.

Two New Ways to Play

Butterscotch Shenanigans has expanded Crashlands 2 with polarized gameplay options. Legends Mode amplifies the challenge with tougher enemies and increased vulnerability, while Explorer Mode removes pressure for those who prefer creative building and peaceful fishing.

Notably, the developers have reintroduced fan-favorite elements from the original Crashlands. The Compendium system makes its return, allowing players to track their discoveries and completion progress. Companion pets now actively participate in combat rather than serving purely cosmetic roles.

The update brings several key improvements:

  • Revamped early-game progression with additional starting gear
  • Randomized bonuses for crafted armor
  • Adjustable nighttime brightness settings
  • Expanded buildable areas and home teleporters

Version 1.1 demonstrates Butterscotch Shenanigans' commitment to refining the player experience. These changes address community feedback while introducing new gameplay depth. The update is now available, transforming an already compelling survival-crafting game into an even richer adventure.
