Naughty Dog, the studio behind iconic PlayStation titles such as Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, has once again re-released its critically acclaimed The Last of Us series. This time, they've bundled both games into an all-in-one package for the PlayStation 5 (PS5), aptly named The Last of Us Complete. The collection, which was announced and launched today, includes the 2022 remake of The Last of Us Part 1 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, allowing players to immerse themselves in the gripping narrative and enhanced gameplay.

The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5
$109.99 at PlayStation Direct
"Experience the complete story that inspired the TV show with definitive versions of two award-winning games," states the official description of The Last of Us Complete, "featuring graphical and gameplay improvements made possible by the PlayStation 5 console."
The Last of Us Complete not only includes the main stories but also all the bonus content released over the years. This includes the Left Behind prequel DLC focused on Ellie, as well as The Last of Us Part 2's No Return and Lost Levels content. For fans of the HBO TV series featuring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, who are yet to explore the original games, this comprehensive digital bundle is priced at $99.99.
According to a PlayStation.Blog post by Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann, a physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition will launch on July 10 for $109.99, and pre-orders are available now. This edition comes with additional collectibles to justify the higher price, including a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a thank-you letter from Druckmann.
“From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years,” Druckmann wrote. “This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love.”

The Last of Us series initially debuted on the PS3 in 2013, quickly becoming a beloved staple in the PlayStation catalog. Despite its acclaim, the series has faced criticism for its numerous re-releases and remasters. The journey of Joel and Ellie saw enhancements for the PS4 in 2014, followed by a full remake for the PS5 in 2022. The Last of Us Part 2, which continued Ellie’s story, was released in 2020 and remastered in early 2024. Both titles have also made their way to PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 released in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.
The Last of Us Complete consolidates all of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic adventures into a single package. While some may question yet another re-release, the timing aligns perfectly with the upcoming premiere of HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 this Sunday, with Season 3 already greenlit.
