A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is coming soon to Android! The name itself is a playful combination of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's unique premise.
Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers of Cato: Buttered Cat did, and the result is a perpetually spinning, gravity-defying feline spectacle!
Originally created for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam by Team Woll, the game's positive reception led to its full development. Currently available on Steam for PC, Cato: Buttered Cat is slated for release on Android and other platforms shortly. While the Google Play Store listing isn't yet live, you can pre-register on the official TapTap page for the Android version.
Gameplay:
Cato: Buttered Cat is a delightful puzzle platformer where you control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast. Work together to solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds brimming with quirky contraptions. Over 200 levels, including side quests, and a captivating storyline await, along with 30 unique outfits to unlock.
The gameplay mechanics are innovative: the cat boasts typical feline agility, while the toast functions as a controllable projectile. Use the toast's flight capabilities to help the cat reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
