While purists may turn up their noses, one of the undeniable perks of favoring gamification over strict simulation is that it simply delivers more fun. Take ThumbAge's hit arcade sports game, Boxing Star, a delightful blend of exaggerated expressions and intense action. Now, the game is getting even more exciting with the addition of two new MegaPunches to pack an extra punch into your gameplay!
MegaPunches are essentially super moves, similar to the Critical Arts in Street Fighter. Once your Hyper Gauge is sufficiently charged, you can unleash a devastating blow to flatten your opponents. Boxing Star boasts a variety of these powerful moves, and now, two more MegaPunches are up for grabs, adding an animalistic flair to your arsenal.
The first new addition, Flame Bone, draws inspiration from the mythical dragon. This MegaPunch engulfs everything in fire, dealing damage based on critical hits. On the other hand, Frost Fang infuses your strike with ice, freezing opponents in place and dealing damage while the chilly barrier is active.
Mega!
But that's not all—Boxing Star is also rolling out new gym equipment for your character to train with between bouts. The Deadlift enhances your skill damage stats and can be upgraded up to level 8, while the Training Timer shortens the time required for skill training.
Although Boxing Star might not offer a realistic simulation of boxing (unless you're imagining a match between Superman and the Hulk), it certainly doesn't skimp on the flashy, entertaining content.
