While a January 17th Fortnite release of a Godzilla skin has been rumored for some time, details of the Monsterverse collaboration have recently leaked online. Epic Games has already deployed an update containing content launching on that date, allowing dataminers to uncover specifics. Beyond the standard Battle Pass Godzilla, players can expect a store bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong skins. This bundle will also include unique jetpacks and pickaxes themed to both characters.
A new boss event will launch alongside the skins on January 17th. One player on the map will transform into a giant Godzilla, wielding abilities like atomic breath. Players will need to cooperate to defeat this colossal foe. The player inflicting the most damage will receive a medallion granting a unique ability.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available in the Fortnite store at the usual time and includes:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two Pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One Emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks
Beyond Godzilla, Fortnite’s roster of collaborators continues to expand. A potential Hatsune Miku collaboration is hinted at through social media interactions. The official Hatsune Miku account reported a missing backpack, to which the Fortnite Festival account responded affirmatively, suggesting an upcoming collaboration.
This collaboration is rumored to include a standard Vocaloid skin, a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and potentially a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
