Black Ops 6 Gets New Zombies Map
No Amalgams Here
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is introducing a fresh round-based survival mode Zombies map, marking the fifth new map added to the game so far. A sneak peek was shared via the official Call of Duty Twitter account and the Treyarch Studios X (Twitter) profile. In a post dated March 12, 2205, an image showcased the front of a grand mansion featuring visible damage, flaming military vehicle wreckage, dark smoke, and fire emanating from within.
The post includes the caption “Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…” along with the hashtag #Zombies. Edward "Eddie" Richtoften is a well-known character in the series who played a major role in Call of Duty: Cold War. Considering that Black Ops 6 is a reimagined version of that title, his return isn’t unexpected.
Fans have also noticed that the map appears to be the Mansion from Liberty Falls, as indicated by the date—February 1991—visible in the teaser image. This timeline aligns with the storyline from the previous Black Ops 6 Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuation of the narrative.
One notable feature of this map is the confirmed absence of Amalgam enemies, according to a response from Treyarch on their Instagram page. When a user commented, “Cannot wait to feel the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too,” the developers simply replied, “Nope.” Amalgams are elite enemy types known for their high health and aggressive attacks. With them excluded from this map, players may experience a less punishing but still intense gameplay session.
