Known Habitats: Ruins of Wyveria Breakable Parts: Head, Tail, Legs Recommended Elemental Attack: Water Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-) Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, Flash Pod

Taming the Speed Demon: Strategies for Success

Ebony Odogaron's speed is its most frustrating trait. Stunning it is key. Utilize nearby Flashflies or craft Flash Pods to temporarily immobilize the beast.

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Fighting Ebony Odogaron solo is difficult. Send out SOS flares to recruit fellow hunters. If assistance is unavailable, NPCs can provide valuable support, acting as a buffer between you and the monster.

Environmental Advantage: Utilizing Entangled Rocks

In specific areas, you'll find Entangled Rocks above. Using your slinger to bring them down stuns the Odogaron for a short period (usable once per fight). Combine this with Pitfall and Shock Traps for additional immobilization opportunities.

Countering Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron inflicts Dragonblight, reducing your elemental and status effect damage. Carry Nulberries to cure this affliction or equip decorations with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance.

Paralysis: A Hunter's Best Friend

Paralysis is highly effective against Ebony Odogaron, halting its movements. Ideally, trigger this while it's near roots to potentially entangle it further.

Strategic Targeting: Prioritize the Head

Ebony Odogaron's head is its primary weak point (3-star weakness). While risky due to increased exposure, focusing attacks here maximizes damage. Alternatively, targeting the forelegs and tail offers a safer, albeit less damaging, approach with a chance to break limbs.

Capturing Ebony Odogaron

Capture Ebony Odogaron by using Pitfall or Shock Traps once its health is reduced to 20% or less. Attempting capture at higher health will result in a failed capture and a renewed fight.
