Just one month post-launch, and with its inclusion on Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a celebratory trailer for Avowed. This trailer features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, emphasizing the action-RPG's warm reception in the gaming community.
The most recent update introduces support for DLSS 4, incorporating Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These advancements significantly boost performance, with NVIDIA showcasing a potential threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, achieving up to 340 FPS. The developers have also hinted at forthcoming announcements regarding the game's future updates and roadmap in the near future.
This update is not solely focused on technical enhancements; it also improves the player experience. Players will now receive an additional talent point every five levels, with those who have already advanced in the game receiving these points automatically upon their next login. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running. Additionally, an accessibility option has been added to increase font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game texts, enhancing readability for all players.
While Avowed hasn't completely silenced critics, it has earned robust reviews across the board. Digital Foundry hailed the game as a technical "triumph," reinforcing its status as a notable achievement from Obsidian.
