Studio Wildcard has released an updated content roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing nearly two years of planned updates. The remaster of the popular survival crafting game, ARK: Survival Evolved, launched in early access in late November 2023, and has been receiving regular content updates since then.

On January 11, Studio Wildcard, based in Redmond, Washington, shared its roadmap that extends until late 2026. The first major update involves a technical patch in March 2025, upgrading ARK: Survival Ascended to Unreal Engine 5.5. This upgrade promises significant performance enhancements and the reintroduction of Nvidia's frame generation, which was previously removed due to engine issues in late 2024.

ARK: Survival Ascended Content Roadmap for 2025–2026

The UE5 update will also continue Studio Wildcard's efforts to restructure the game's data, allowing players to download individual ARK: Survival Ascended DLC packs. This approach aims to reduce the game's overall install size. Following the update, new content will be introduced in April 2025, including a Fantastic Tame and a free Bison creature.

In June 2025, a new premium map will be added as paid DLC, with details to be revealed in early spring. Another Fantastic Tame and a community-voted free creature will join the game in August 2025.

In 2026, Studio Wildcard plans to remaster ARK: Survival Evolved's Genesis expansions. Genesis: Part 1 is scheduled for April 2026, followed by Part 2 in August 2026. Both will coincide with the release of parts of Bob's True Tales, a new content drop previously announced as part of the season pass. The remastered Fjordur map is set to launch as a free update in December 2026. Additionally, three more Fantastic Tames are planned throughout the year.

While the roadmap provides a broad overview, Studio Wildcard may have smaller surprises in store for the next two years, indicating that this is more of a high-level plan than an exhaustive list of all upcoming features.
