April 2025 PlayStation Plus Games Unveiled

By FinnMay 02,2025

Sony has unveiled an exciting trio of games for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers in April 2025: RoboCop: Rogue City (PS5), The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (PS4, PS5), and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory (PS4). These titles were announced in a recent PlayStation.Blog post and will be available to subscribers at no extra cost starting April 1, until the next set of games arrives on May 5.

The April lineup caters to a variety of gaming tastes. RoboCop: Rogue City, developed by Teyon and Nacon, is a first-person shooter that immerses players in the role of Alex Murphy as he battles to save Detroit from crime. A significant update in January of the previous year added a New Game Plus mode, enhancing the replay value. Our review at launch gave it a solid 7/10, praising its faithful recreation of the '80s atmosphere.

For those seeking intense multiplayer action, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre from Sumo Digital and Gun Media offers an asymmetrical experience where players either survive or hunt as part of the Slaughter Family. It's a thrilling, albeit technically challenging, game that we rated 6/10 at launch, noting its ability to deliver a few entertaining hours.

Rounding out the selection, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory by Bandai Namco provides a more relaxed pace with its turn-based gameplay and expansive digital world. With over 320 Digimon to collect, it offers a fresh perspective on the original Cyber Sleuth story.

As these new titles become available, PlayStation Plus subscribers should also remember to download the March 2025 titles—Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Sonic Colors: Ultimate, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection—before they are removed from the service on March 31. This is a great opportunity for both subscribers and potential new members to enrich their gaming libraries.
