Dell's latest deal offers the Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC, featuring the new GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, for just $2,399.99 with free shipping. This stands out as one of the most competitive prebuilt systems with an RTX 5080 available today, especially as other manufacturers have steadily raised prices following the RTX 50 series launch in January. Comparatively, the only other RTX 5080 prebuilt option from Dell exceeds $4,000. Securing just the GPU for a custom build is equally challenging, as the graphics card alone could cost nearly as much as this complete system.
Update: Like its competitors, Dell is now facing the impact of new tariffs. With Blackwell GPU stock remaining scarce, prices for Alienware desktops with RTX 50 series graphics cards are projected to rise soon.

Alienware Aurora R16 Intel Core Ultra 7 265F RTX 5080 Gaming PC
$2,399.99 at Alienware
This Alienware Aurora R16 is configured with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265F processor, GeForce RTX 5080 graphics, 16GB of DDR5-5200MHz memory, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 265F, part of the Meteor Lake generation, reaches turbo speeds up to 5.3GHz and includes 20 cores with 30MB of cache. It's kept cool by a capable 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler, while a high-efficiency 1,000W 80PLUS Platinum power supply delivers stable energy to the entire system.
The RTX 5080 is among the three Blackwell-generation graphics cards currently on the market, though they remain extremely difficult to purchase. In IGN's review of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition, Jackie notes: “If you're already using a high-end graphics card from recent years, upgrading to the RTX 5080 may not be a compelling choice—it offers only a modest performance improvement over the RTX 4080, though DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation does enhance visual fluidity in supported games. However, for gamers upgrading from older hardware, the RTX 5080 delivers a noticeable performance uplift, especially if you take advantage of Nvidia's AI-powered features.”
RTX 5080 and 5090 Graphics Cards Remain Out of Stock
The initial wave of Nvidia's GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within the first hour of preorders. The first models to launch were the flagship RTX 5090 and RTX 5080, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Prebuilt gaming PCs featuring these new GPUs face similar availability issues. While several models were listed at launch, most are now either out of stock, priced higher, or facing significantly extended delivery times.
