AFK Journey Tier List
It's important to note that most AFK Journey heroes are viable for most content. While some excel in high-level endgame, even average heroes can be effective. This tier list ranks characters based on versatility, overall performance in PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters
Lily May, a recent addition, is a top-tier Wilder character, dealing substantial damage and offering considerable utility. She excels in PvP, PvE, and Dream Realm.
Thoran remains the best F2P tank, particularly useful while building Phraesto. Reinier is a priority support, valuable in PvE and PvP, especially Dream Realm and Arena.
Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential support characters for various game modes. Odie is crucial for Dream Realm and all PvE.
For competitive PvP, Eironn, combined with Damien and Arden, forms a powerful team.
Tasi (added November 2024) is a versatile Wilder character, effective in most game modes. Harak (also November 2024), a Hypogean/Celestial warrior, gains strength throughout battles, making him a formidable force.
A-Tier Characters
Lyca and Vala effectively utilize the Haste stat, crucial for attack frequency and speed. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own. Lyca's PvP performance may be less consistent.
Antandra is a strong alternative tank to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.
Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy-draining abilities and AoE attacks, though less effective in Dream Realm.
Alsa (added May 2024) provides solid DPS and fits well into meta PvP compositions, especially with Eironn. She's a more accessible alternative to Carolina.
Phraesto (added June 2024) is a durable tank but lacks damage output.
Ludovic (added August 2024) is a powerful Graveborn healer, working well with Talene and excelling in PvP.
Cecia, while still a good Marksman, has decreased in value due to Lily May and Dream Realm meta shifts.
Sonja (added December 2024) significantly enhances the Lightborne faction, offering respectable damage and utility.
B-Tier Characters
B-Tier characters effectively fill roles but are less valuable than S and A-tier heroes. Investment should be prioritized for higher-tier alternatives.
Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS choices. Granny Dahnie is a suitable early-game tank alternative to Thoran and Antandra.
Arden and Damien, while meta for PvP, are less effective in other PvE modes.
Florabelle (added April 2024) is a decent secondary DPS supporting Cecia, but not essential.
Soren (added May 2024) is decent in PvP, but not optimal for other modes.
Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has diminished.
C-Tier Characters
C-Tier characters are generally outclassed after AFK level 100. Focus on obtaining higher-tier replacements.
Parisa, while offering powerful AoE and some PvP utility, should be replaced when possible.
