Acclaimed Studio Embarks on Pirates Outlaws 2

Get ready to set sail once more! Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is on the horizon, promising an enhanced roguelike deck-building experience. Building on the success of its 2019 predecessor, this updated adventure will launch in 2025 on Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games Store.

An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), offering PC players a sneak peek. Mobile gamers will have to wait a little longer for their chance to plunder the seas. But before you embark, let's explore the exciting new features.

What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?

Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a fresh protagonist with a backstory set years after the original game. This new hero begins with pre-built decks and unique abilities, setting the stage for a unique journey.

The addition of companions, each with their own specialized cards, adds a new layer of strategic depth. A new card fusion mechanic allows players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful version.

Deck progression is streamlined with an evolution tree, enabling personalized upgrades. Even previously discarded cards can be enhanced! Relic acquisition has also been revamped; instead of appearing after every battle, relics are now found in markets, after boss fights, or during special events.

Combat is further refined with a new countdown system impacting enemy actions. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "Redraw" mechanic, adding a new strategic element. A new armor and shield system also makes its debut.

Are You Ready to Embark?

While Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces innovative mechanics, the core gameplay remains faithful to its predecessor. Players can still expect the satisfying deck-building, challenging roguelike progression, and thrilling seafaring adventures across Arena and Campaign modes.

Classic elements such as ammo management, melee/ranged/skill card combinations, curses, and diverse enemy factions are all retained. Visit the official website for more details.
