FortiToken Mobile is a mobile application that generates one-time passwords (OTPs) for enhanced security using multi-factor authentication. This OATH-compliant app supports both event-based and time-based OTP generation. It's a user-friendly and cost-effective client component designed to seamlessly integrate with Fortinet's secure authentication infrastructure, requiring FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud for OTP validation.

Privacy and Security:

Rest assured, FortiToken Mobile prioritizes your privacy and control. It cannot access sensitive phone functions such as changing settings, capturing media (photos, videos, audio), accessing emails, or viewing your browsing history. It requires explicit permission for notifications and any setting modifications. Remote wiping of your device is also not a feature. The only access required is to verify your operating system version for compatibility. Sensitive data, like email addresses or token seeds, is only accessed during manual token installation, third-party token integration, or token transfers.

While FortiToken Mobile respects your privacy and avoids unnecessary access, the following permissions are essential for its operation:

• Camera Access: To scan QR codes for quick and easy token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: For enhanced application security.
• Internet Access: To activate tokens and receive push notifications.
• Email Access (Send Feedback): To pre-fill the "Sender" field when sending feedback emails.
• Internal File Sharing: To facilitate attachment creation for feedback emails.
• Prevent Sleep Mode: To ensure database integrity during upgrades, preventing data corruption.
