BeatX is a rhythm game that brings tons of Stepmania/DDR levels to your pocket. Hit the arrows in the rhythm of the music to achieve the best score! The game features more than 100,000 FREE levels/songs in the download section, and supports loading all (.sm), (.smzip), and (.dwi) files, including Stops, BPM Changes, Mines, Fakes, and negative BPM gimmicks. You can play in Single, Double, and Versus modes (split-screen multiplayer - dance mat/gamepad recommended), and compete with your friends on 11 Leaderboards to earn 22 Achievements. BeatX supports DDR Max3 and ITG scoring systems, and you can play on a touchscreen or use your dance mat, keyboard, or joystick via a USB OTG cable or Bluetooth. The game also offers Full HD support in both Landscape and Portrait orientations, and supports announcer packs, background videos, and custom noteskins. BeatX runs great on Android TV (Nexus Player or the ADT-1) and NVIDIA Shield, making it perfect for Friday Night Funkin' enthusiasts.

About the permissions: The primary purpose of this game is to load your own SM/DWI/SMZIP files so you can play your favorite Stepmania/DDR songs on the go. The "Read from external storage" permission is required to read Stepmania chart data and songs (user-defined levels) from the user folder outside of the game's default folder, as these are previously downloaded by the user from external sites (similar to how movies are read by a movie player). The "Write to external storage" permission is needed because song packs are often downloaded in the form of "smzip" files; this permission allows BeatX to unzip these song packs to the user's storage device to be used by the game without an external "zip" capable application.
