: A Multiplayer Sudoku Showdown!

Love Sudoku? Want to challenge friends or compete as a team? is a multiplayer version of the classic puzzle game where you compete against other players or teams. The goal remains the same: fill a 9x9 grid with digits so each column, row, and 3x3 subgrid contains all digits from 1 to 9.

Before you begin, select a difficulty level (1-6) in the game options; 1 being the easiest and 6 the hardest. This determines the number of pre-filled digits, providing a shared starting point for all players. Every player receives the identical puzzle.

Game Modes:

The game offers two modes, configurable in the options:

• Show Opponent's Correct Numbers: Each correctly placed number is visible to all players. Only the first player to correctly place a number earns points.
• Hide Opponent's Correct Numbers: Correct numbers are not visible to other players, allowing multiple players to earn points for the same correct digit.

Time-Outs:

Incorrect entries result in a time-out, preventing the player from making further moves while others continue. The time-out duration is customizable (default: 30 seconds).

Scoring:

Correctly placed numbers earn points, with higher difficulty levels awarding more points per correct entry. Incorrect entries deduct half the points you would have earned for a correct placement.

Winning the Game:

The game concludes when the puzzle is solved. The player with the highest score wins. If "Show Opponent's Correct Numbers" is disabled, the game ends when a single player solves the puzzle, although this doesn't grant extra points; other players can still win based on fewer mistakes.

Team vs. Individual Play:

A team play option allows two teams to compete. Players select their team (1 or 2) upon joining. At least two players per team are required. Team points accumulate collectively, and notes/filled colors are shared within the team, enabling collaborative strategies.

Solving Tools:

A toolbar beneath the puzzle provides helpful tools:

• Pen Tool: Allows adding notes (mini-numbers) to squares. Selecting a number already present removes it.
• Fill Mode: Lets you change the background color of squares.
